And so it begins!

I started this blog under the possibly mistaken impression that I'll have time to document my adventures in Vet School.

There won't be too much to post before I start, but I need to at least write about the process...

The journey so far:

Spent my first three days in France finishing up my application, because why do today what you could put off until the last possible second.

Fast forward 3 months. I received answers from both schools I had applied to in the same day:
-CSU: rejection. (Note: the OOS school you choose to apply to because "it's silly to only apply to one school" should not be a school that has like a 2% OOS acceptance rate.)
-WSU: well, see for yourself:

It's an interview invite!
WAHOO!  After speaking to the admissions people and my parents, as well as doing some thinking myself, everyone was in agreement that the best thing to do would be to return to the US to attend the interview in person.

I really liked what I saw of WSU, but two things stood out in particular to me:
1.  The openness and friendliness of everyone, from the admissions people, to the people in the teaching hospital, to the students.  It really seems like an awesome community.
2.  The teaching hospital.  I can't wait to study and work there.

Oh, and I got to dress like a real adult!

SUIT UP!
Went back to France for possibly one of the most difficult waiting experiences of my life.  Then, this happened:

HALLELUJAH!

I've been calling it my "letter to Hogwarts" because that's the only thing that even remotely compares.  I screamed, I cried, I made Skype calls until 2:00am, I posted on Facebook, I jumped around in the streets.

Hurry, August 16th, hurry fast...
